Document Setup dialog box appears 3 times for a publication:

at the time of creation,

while publication has been opened and

when no publication has been opened.

Any Settings can be set to default settings when no publication has been opened.

Guides and Rulers

Guides are useful to place and draw objects properly.  Horizontal and Vertical guides can be set by simply dragging from the respective rulers.  Column guides are one kind of guides that are used to insert text objects.

KBS related to Guides:

Hide/Show Guides: ctrl+;

Lock Guides: ctrl+Alt+;

Clear guides: View menuàClear Ruler Guides

Hide/Show Rulers: Ctrl+R

Place command can also be used to insert image on the page directly.

To insert with its own size, click; to specify size of content drag diagonally.

Use Mask command to provide border around picture.

Element menuàText Wrap option is used to set relationship between picture and text objects.

Crop and Rotate Tools: Crop tool is used to remove unwanted portion of image.  Drag using handles to remove unwanted portion.  Drag inside to adjust cropped image.

Rotate tool allows us to rotate any object manually
